What is a Barre Class?
A Latin Barre Class is a class specifically designed for Latin Ballroom Dance where we work through a set of short exercises to help the body become stronger, more coordinated, more flexible, and more balanced. We use the term Barre to describe a type of class that is structured similarly to a Ballet Class. In our Barre classes you don’t necessarily need to hold on to a barre - it is possible to do all the exercises without holding on to anything.
What Levels are the classes?
All classes are suitable for all levels, unless they specifically indicate a level such as "Advanced", "Intermediate", "Professional" etc. If they don't mention any level - this means that they are suitable for dancers of ALL levels and from ANY STYLE.
What does "Ep." stand for?
Ep. stands for "Episode" - which is just a way we use to differentiate the classes that deal with the same dance or topic. For example, if we are teaching a "Rumba" class in June and a "Rumba" class in July - the content of the classes will be different. But if we use the title "Rumba" for both classes then it might look like it is the same class. That is why we use "Ep." to indicate that classes are different - "Rumba Ep. 1" in June and "Rumba Ep. 2" in July are different. Using "Ep." is our way to categorize the classes - and also to let you know if there were any previous classes that deal with the same topic. For example, if the title of the class is "Dynamics Ep. 2" - that means that we taught a class on the subject of Dynamics titled "Dynamics Ep. 1".
Please note that "Episode" does not signify a level of the class. For example, "Rumba Ep. 3" is the same level as "Rumba Ep. 1".
